SKILLED OCCUPATION LIST FOR 2017/18

If you’re thinking about a move to Australia then this is a great place to start. As of 1st July 2017 a new Skilled Occupations List took effect. The new list featuring 178 listed occupations will be in use for Australia’s immigration program in 2017/18.

This is relevant if you’re interested in applying for a visa under the General Skilled Migration program as you will need to nominate an eligible occupation (on the Medium and Long-Term Strategic Skills List or MLTSL).

If you are applying for one of the following visas, then you can nominate one of the occupations on the MLTSL.

  • Skilled Independent Visa (Subclass 189)
  • Skilled Regional (Provisional) Visa – for applicants not nominated by State and Territory Government (Subclass 489)
  • Temporary Graduate Visa (Subclass 485)
